Anxiety

Everyone feels anxious from time to time. An important interview, a first date, or even a traffic ticket can all cause some level of anxiety.

Usually, anxiety is temporary, and resolves on its own as we adjust to the changing circumstances in our daily lives. But sometimes we find ourselves feeling anxious or worried more days than not, and we need some help managing these uncomfortable feelings.

Common symptoms of anxiety may include:

  • Feeling restless, keyed-up, stressed-out, or on-edge
  • Feeling worried, overwhelmed, or out-of-control
  • Difficulty concentrating, or mind going blank
  • Feeling easily fatigued
  • Poor sleep or appetite
  • Muscle tension
  • Irritability

If you find yourself experiencing any of these symptoms, counseling can help you find ways to reduce the stress in your life, and cope more effectively with the ongoing challenges you face on a daily basis.
